Northern Ireland Developers at GDC

Northern Ireland Screen

Northern Ireland Screen is the government-backed lead agency in Northern Ireland for the film, television and digital content industry, driving global growth through boosting our economy, celebrating our culture and enhancing our children’s education.

We are developing the interactive content sectors by providing project funding, skills development and finding complementary partners to content producers based in Northern Ireland. We also aim to establish Northern Ireland as an attractive place for international developers and publishers to invest.

Italic Pig

Italic Pig is a kickass games company based loosely in the UK and Ireland. We live, work and eat by the phrase: "Nobody ever got anywhere by thinking medium."

Our 2015 debut release – Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark (published by Team17) – was a finalist for Best Writing In A Video Game by the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, Writers’ Guild of Ireland and TIGA Game of the Year.

Thanks to a recent award from Creative Europe we’ve begun development in 2016 on our next ambitious adventure, this time starring Mona Lisa as Renaissance Italy’s greatest art thief.

Troll Inc

Troll Inc is a Northern Ireland games studio who develop our own games, as well as undertake work for hire projects with experience in PC, console and mobile games.

We will have a demo on hand during GDC of a new IP for PC and console that blends puzzles, platforming and time control into an atmospheric and unique world to explore.

Our mobile games have an arcade style and casual games focused on chasing high scores; we are interested in publishing our back catalogue.

For work-for-hire projects we can work with existing brands looking to add games to their portfolio, as well as working with development teams to support existing projects.

Retinize

RETìníZE creates cinematic virtual reality using state-of-the-art 360 video, 3D stereoscopic vision and binaural sound. At heart we’re experienced storytellers, with an intimate knowledge of the tricks and tech required to create truly unforgettable immersive experiences.
