Blizzard has announced HP and Intel as official partners for the Overwatch League.
The news, delivered in a plaintext tweet without an image, link or any other accompanying media, states as much as i’ve already told you. HP and Intel are going to be sponsors for the Overwatch League, but we don’t know any more about what form that will take.
HP, Intel, and the Overwatch League are joining forces! We are excited to welcome them to the team as official partners!

It’s a unique sponsorship proposition, with the Overwatch League offering the first opportunity for endemic and non-endemic organisations to interact with a league made up of franchised partners with a rigid structure.
Blizzard’s Overwatch League is the company’s shining jewel right now, and hype is starting to build as teams are announcing the identities for their franchises. Buy-in for the Overwatch League is a reported $20m per franchise, meaning however much HP and Intel might have played for this sponsorship, it’s probably not cheap.
The league is kicking off December 6.
