The Finalists have been announced and invites are on their way to the press. Now the rest of the industry gets the chance to buy tickets to the first ever Games Media Awards on October 11th at London’s Soho Revue bar.
With categories across specialist and mainstream outlets, in print and online, and over 150 media representatives in attendance, the GMAs will be the biggest gathering of games journalists this year. Possibly ever.
The interest and debate generated so far has been intense – and the night itself promises to be pretty sparky. Special Trade Tickets are now available for anyone who wants to share the evening with the games media’s finest and make sure they’re on hand to celebrate with the winners and commiserate with the, er, runners-up, all for just 99.
Due to pressure of space combined with high demand, seats in the main auditorium (where the GMAs will be hosted) are restricted to the media for the duration of the awards themselves. For this period, holders of Trade Tickets will watch the event on a big screen in an upstairs bar. Food will be served and, of course, drinks are free.
Trade Tickets do, however, get you into the pre-awards reception (starting at 7:00 pm) and post-awards party (ending at 2:00 am). Restrictions on access to the main room will only remain in place while the awards are being presented. For the rest of the time, it’s a full-on network-fest.
