No reasons given but the delays give an extra two months development for both The Inpatient and Bravo Team

Two VR titles from Supermassive Games delayed until 2018

Two of the most anticipated titles for Sony’s PlayStaiton VR winter line-up have been delayed until early 2018. The Inpatient and Bravo Team from UK-based Supermassive Games will be moving to Q1 next year, the studio has announced.

The Inpatient, the horror experience that takes players back to Until Dawn‘s Blackwood Sanitarium was due for release on November 21st, 2017 but has now been pushed back to January 23rd (US) and 24th (RoW) 2018. Bravo Team, a new military shooter IP that will use the PlayStation Aim Controller, has seen a slightly longer delay moving from its December 5th, 2017 release date to March 6th (US) and 7th (RoW).

The news was announced on Supermassive Games’ blog but sadly had no information has been released as to why the delays have occurred. The release of Hidden Agenda, Supermassive’s PlayLink title, is unaffected and is due to release on November 22nd in the EU and Internationally, following its US release on October 24th.

Sony recently announced their newest version of the PSVR headset was recently released in Japan and is due to come to other markets next year. There are still titles due to be released this year to bolster the triple-A line up for the headset including Bethesda’s Skyrim VR and Doom VFR.

Supermassive Games have been big advocates of development for Sony’s VR platform with Until Dawn: Rush of Blood receiving critical acclaim on its release. Develop spoke to the studio about its VR projects and ambitions last month, which you can read here.
