Dota 2 team Natus Vincere has dropped three players after the team failed to qualify for the Boston Major competition.
Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev, Dmitry “Ditya Ra” Minenkov and Ivan “ArtStyle” Antonov have all left the team, leaving only Danil “Dendi” Ishutin and Victor “GeneRaL” Nigrini signed to the organisation.
Rumours of issues within the NaVi came started to appear just before the qualifiers for the Boston Major kicked off. These rumours said that players were not getting along and this was causing significant issues in game. These issues eventually lead to an incredibly poor performance in the qualifier and the team dropping out of many competitions.
Prior to the internal issues the NaVi team was again looking strong. They performed well enough during the middle of the year to receive a direct invitation to The International 6. However a disappointing last place finish in Seattle was seemingly the start of these issues that lead to the disbanding of the team.
No new players have been confirmed for the squad, although members of the NaVi organisation have teased that former player Alexander "XBOCT" Dashkevich may make a return.
A lengthy interview with the Dota 2 team managers revealed that there was issues with players personality and communication. With the new roster they hope to be able to create a team that is free to suggest new ideas and be critical without causing offense. That sounds a little easier said than done knowing the volatile CIS Dota scene.
