American eSports organisation NRG has signed the former Luminosity Overwatch roster thanks, in part, to a tweet from co-owner Shaquille O’Neal.
One of the most popular Overwatch streamers, Brandon Seagull” Larned, is a part of the team and last week received a tweet from NBA legend and co owner of NRG Shaq, asking him to join the organisation.
Hey @A_Seagull and your @playoverwatch boys. Time to step it up to the @NRG.gg family. We would love to have you all on board.

Shortly after that tweet the team left the Luminosity organisation, and earlier this week confirmed they had signed with NRG.
This is a big signing for the NRG organisation, as Seagull regularly pulls in 30,000+ viewers each time he streams. The team itself is also considered to be one of the best in the world, although faces tough competition in the NA region with the likes of Fnatic picking up top players.
The new NRG roster consists of Brandon Seagull” Larned, Yomar "milo" Toledo, Carl "enigma" Yangsheng, Daniel "Gods" Graeser, Mark "Pookz" Rendon and Tim "dummy" Olson.
