Razer completes Ouya buyout, Uhrman departs

Ouya founder Julie Uhrman has announced both the company’s acquisition at the hands of Razer and her departure.

Uhrman has over the last hour tweeted a string of thanks to dozens of people and companies who she has worked with over the last few years. Among those tweets is one to Razer that reads: Can’t wait to see what you do. Take care of my incredible team and community…I know you will.”

Another states: Ouya was a once in a lifetime experience. Now, I’m off to find the next…stay tuned!”

Ouya’s acquisition was confirmed in some quarters of the press last month. MCV’s sister site Develop has just been told that there’s no official comments on Uhrman’s revelation for the time being.
