The team behind Lego Star Wars hasn't yet exhausted George Lucas' six films for material - it's working on another game in the franchise and will remake the poorly-reviewed Nintendo DS version.

TT Games to revamp DS Lego Star Wars

Developer Traveller’s Tales plans to deliver next-gen game Lego Star Wars: The Complete Trilogy for rights-owner LucasArts – the game combines both volumes of Lego Star Wars into a new game with new levels and extra content.

The studio is also remaking the DS version of Lego Star Wars II, "developed brick by brick from the ground up". The previous version was developed by Foundation 9’s Amaze studio, but scored poorly amongst reviewers – arguably the only black mark on Lego Star Wars’ award-winning track record, which has seen the series sell millions of units and gain praise from critics for its centrepiece home console edition, devised by Traveller’s Tales, and the mobile versions, handled by Universomo.

Traveller’s Tales is also adding online play to the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the new game, which is due at the end of the year.
