MCV Awards 2015: The finalists revealed

After two months of lobbying from the UK games industry, the finalists for this year’s MCV Awards have been selected.

The shortlist, listed in full below, has 71 different companies in the running for the various accolades.

Warner, Ubisoft and Sony each have ten nominations, EA has nine, Nintendo scores eight and Activision Blizzard grabs seven, while Xbox has six.

But there are also key nominations for smaller outfits and new faces.

We are today taking the wraps off of three extra awards: Media Team, Export Team and Sales Triumph, all added after compelling feedback from the industry. The shortlists for previously announced new awards including Indie Games Label, Agency Team and Buying Team are also below.

Next, our judging panels will be invited to decide on the winners.

Thewinnersof the 19 awards will be announced on April 16th – as will therecipientsof our three special awards: Unsung Hero, Person of the Year and Store Manager of the Year.

These standout individuals will be chosen by the MCV team after soundings from the games business – send your suggestions to mfrench@nbmedia.com to get your voice heard.
