The lack of new releases last week means there were very few changes in the UK physical weekly charts, with the Top 4 being entirely the same compared to last week.
Super Mario Maker 2 took another No.1, with sales decreasing 38 per cent week-on-week. It’s the third consecutive top spot for the Nintendo Switch title, which had been No.1 since its launch.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled charted at No.2 once again, for the third week running, and F1 2019 landed at No.3, you guessed it, for the third consecutive week. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe completed this unchanged Top 4, charting at No.4 once again with a three per cent rise in sales.
Meanwhile, Dragon Quest Builders 2 debuted at No.5, with 67 per cent of the sales going to the Switch and only 33 per cent going to the PS4. Dragon Quest Builders debuted further down the charts back in 2016, at No.13, but sold 22 per cent more copies than its sequel at launch.
The rest of the Top Ten remained relatively unchanged, though it’s worth noting that Mortal Kombat 11 continued to perform extremely well, gaining three spots to No.7 following a 38 per cent increase in sales week-on-week. Warner Bros’ title already had an excellent performance the week before, climbing 14 places to No.10.
Further down the charts, the physical edition of Hollow Knight, published by Fangamer on PS4 and Switch, debuted at No.34. If you’ve just discovered Team Cherry’s hit, don’t forget to read our post-mortem, published last year.
