Gambit signs Bektiyar ‘fitch’ Bakhytov from Kazakh CS:GO outfit Tengri

Gambit Esports, victors of the recent PGL Krakow Major in late July, announced late on Tuesday evening that they’ve signed Bektiyar ‘fitch’ Bakhytov from Kazakh CS:GO outfit Tengri.

Bakhytov will fill the roster slot left after Danylo ‘Zeus’ Teslenko left the team to return to Natus Vincere with the team’s coach Mykhailo ‘Kane’ Blagin. There’s no word yet on who will be taking the in-game leader mantle, but there’s an announcement on Gambit’s website

Gambit’s Abay ‘HObbit’ Khasenov also comes from Tengri, and was on loan from the organisation for 10 months before they signed Khasenov officially at the start of August 2017. Tengri placed second in the PGL Major CIS Minor, but missed out on qualifying for the Major after a poor run in the International Qualifiers.

The CIS team now has four players from Kazakhstan on the roster. Gambit’s complete roster is now Bakhytov, Khasenov, Mikail ‘Dosia’ Stolyarov, Rustem ‘mou’ Telepov and Dauren ‘AdreN’ Kystaubayev. As the champions of the most recent Major, all eyes will be on Gambit moving forwards to see if they can keep up their high performance as we kick into the next season.
